FOLLOWING A NOVEMBER 2022 ANIMAL CRUELTY INVESTIGATION A BLAIRSTOWN MAN IS CHARGED

BELVIDERE, NJ.- On February 24, 2023, a Blairstown, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged with Multiple Animal Abuse Offenses, according to Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer.
Back on November 29, 2022, The Animal Control Officer contacted The Blairstown Police Department in regards to possible Animal Abuse and Neglect at 10 Dean Road in Blairstown. The Blairstown Police Humane Law Enforcement Officer responded to the address and found Multiple Animal Abuse Violations.
These Violations included Deceased Livestock on the Property or inside the Pasture. An Adult Cow which was unable to move. The Flooring of the Barn was entirely Covered with Manure and Mud with no Dry Bedding. Multiple Objects that could cause Injury to The Livestock were inside the Barn and in the Pasture. Multiple visits to the Farm showed no Water or No Access to Water for the Cows, Horses, and Goats.
Through a Joint investigation with The Blairstown Police Department, The Warren County Prosecutor's Office and in conjunction with The New Jersey Office of The Attorney General, Ryan Whitmore, 37, was Arrested and Charged with the following Offenses.
Two Counts of Third Degree Failure to Provide a Living Animal with Necessary Care; Four Counts of Fourth Degree Failure to Provide a Living Animal with Necessary Care; and Sixteen Counts of a Disorderly Persons Offense for Failure to Provide a Living Animal with Necessary Care.
Mr. Whitmore was Processed on the Charges and released on a Summons pending future Court Proceedings.
