ONE TEEN DEAD ONE TEEN HOSPITALIZED IN PATERSON EASTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL STABBING

PATERSON, NJ.- On Friday, February 17, 2023, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro jointly announced The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and The Paterson Police Department are actively investigating a Double Stabbing that has left One Teen Dead and another Teen Hospitalized.
On Friday, February 17, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to Eastside High School, located at 147 Park Avenue in Paterson on a report of an altercation.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered Two Juveniles, a 14-Year-Old and 16-Year-Old outside the School Property. Both of the Teens had sustained Stab Wounds. Both Teens were immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where the 14-Year-Old succumbed to their injuries and were subsequently pronounced deceased. The 16-Year-Old remains hospitalized.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made.
