DURING A THREE DAY SPAN A SECOND HIT AND RUN IN HUDSON COUNTY LEAVES A WOMAN HOSPITALIZED

     " Friday Night Hit & Run In Jersey City Seriously Injures A Union City, New Jersey Woman."

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Sunday, February 5, 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that Detectives of The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Members of The Jersey City Police Department are continuing a Friday Night Hit and Run that has Seriously Injured a Union City, New Jersey Woman.

     On Friday, February 3, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Woodlawn Avenue on a report of a Pedestrian being Struck by a vehicle.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim, later identified as a 48-Year-Old Union City Woman suffering from a Serious Injury to her Lower Body. The woman was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment. The Vehicle Fled the Scene after Striking the woman.

     Due to the Severity of the woman's injuries, The Investigation was turned over to The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office asks anyone with information regarding this incident to contact The Prosecutor's Office Tips Line at (201) 915-1345.
