Stratford New Jersey Man Charged

STRATFORD MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT AND DRUG OFFENSES

     " Joshua Clark Has Been Charged With First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault & Multiple Drug Offenses For Drugging A Woman & Sexually Assaulting Her."

STRATFORD, NJ.- On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay announced that a Stratford, New Jersey man has been Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault and Multiple Narcotics Offenses.


     On July 20, 2022, Members of The Stratford Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call from a Woman who reported being Drugged and Sexually Assault at a residence on Warwick Road in Stratford.



     During the investigation by Members of The Camden Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit in conjunction with Detectives from The Stratford Police Department quickly determined that the Woman met Joshua Clark, 40, on a Social Media Dating App. While on a date at the residence of Mr. Clark, the Woman reported consuming a Drink that Mr. Clark prepared, causing her to lose consciousness, at which time Mr. Clark Sexually Assaulted her.


     Further, a Court Authorized Search Warrant was Executed earlier this month at Mr. Clark's home. During the Search, Detectives discovered One Half Ounce of Methamphetamine, One Bottle of Liquid Ketamine, and Assorted Drug Paraphernalia.


     As a result of the investigation Mr. Clark was formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Third Degree Tampering with a Food Product; Third Degree Possession of Methamphetamine; Second Degree Possession with an Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; Third Degree Possession of Ketamine; and Third Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine within 1000 Feet of School Property.


     Mr. Clark was processed on The Charges and remanded to The Camden County Correctional Facility pending a Detention Hearing.
