17 YEAR OLD HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING STRUCK BY GUNFIRE LATE FRIDAY NIGHT IN PATERSON

     " Shooting In The Area Of Keen & Mercer Streets In Paterson Leaves A Teen Hospitalized."

PATERSON, NJ.- On Saturday, December 17, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro announced that Detectives are continuing their investigation into a Friday night Shooting that left a 17-Year-Old hospitalized.

     On Friday, December 16, 2022, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Keen and Mercer Streets in Paterson, on a report of Shots Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a Crime Scene but no victim was located. A short time later Police Officers located a 17-Year-Old Juvenile who had sustained a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.

     The teen was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for Treatment.

     No Arrests have been made. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
