Hopewell New Jersey Homicide

MERCER COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING THE MURDER OF A MANALAPAN MAN

     " Manalapan, New Jersey Man Was Discovered In His Car Saturday Night At The Hopewell Valley Nature Preserve."

HOPEWELL, NJ.- On Sunday, December 18, 2022, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Hopewell Police Department are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Saturday Night's Fatal Shooting of a Manalapan man.



      On Saturday, December 17, 2022, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Members of The Hopewell Police Department responded to The Hopewell Valley Nature Preserve located on Harbourton-Woodsville Road on a report of a man in distress. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a White Mercedes C300 on a Trail with a man, later identified as Phillip Urban of Manalapan, New Jersey slumped over in the vehicle with an apparent Gunshot Wound.


     Mr. Urban was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased.


     The Fatal Shooting remains active and ongoing.
