Paterson New Jersey Man Charged

PATERSON NEW JERSEY MAN ARRESTED FOR THE OCTOBER 15th TRIPLE SHOOTING IN PATERSON

     " Cleon Pooler Has Been Charged With The October 15, 2022 Early Morning Shooting That Left 3 People Suffering Gunshot Wounds."

PATERSON, NJ.- On Tuesday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Acting Police Chief Bert Ribeiro jointly announced that a man wanted in connection to the October 15, 2022 Triple Shooting in the area of Madison and Essex Streets in Paterson has been taken into custody.


     On November 14, 2022, at approximately 3:54 p.m., Cleon Pooler, 30, of Paterson, New Jersey was Arrested by Members of The Paterson Police Department in the area of Ellison Street and Memorial Drive in The City.



     Mr. Pooler has been Charged with First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Aggravated Assault; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Second Degree Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons; and Fourth Degree Aggravated Assault. 


     On October 15, 2022, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Madison and Essex Streets in Paterson on a report of Multiple Shots Fired. Upon arrival, Police Officers found three victims, a 19-Year-Old Sunbury, Pennsylvania man, a 32-Year-Old Passaic, New Jersey resident, and a 16-Year-Old Juvenile each suffering from non-life threatening Gunshot Wounds. All three were immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment for their wounds.


     Based on a swift moving investigation by Detectives from The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and Detectives from The Paterson Police Department,s Ceasefire Unit were able to quickly identify Mr. Pooler as the individual responsible for the shooting of the three victims and a warrant for Pooler's Arrest was issued.


     If convicted on the charges Mr. Pooler will face a potential prison sentence of 30-Years in New Jersey State Prison.
