ATLANTIC COUNTY JURY CONVICTS MAN IN THE 2014 STRANGULATION DEATH OF A WOMAN

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- On Tuesday, November 2, 2022, Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds announced following a two and a half week Trial, a Jury sitting in Atlantic County has Convicted Timothy Wright, 42, of Mays Landing, New Jersey on First Degree Murder.
Mr. Wright was Charged with The Strangulation Death of Joyce Vanderhoff, 25, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey on February 14, 2014. Ms. Vanderhoff's naked body was found in Hamilton Township the following day.
Although it took almost five years, Mr. Wright was Arrested in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania where he had been residing at the time of his Arrest.
Sentencing in the matter has been scheduled for December 16, 2022, where Mr. Wright will face a minimum of 3o-Years to Life in New Jersey State Prison, with a 30-Year term of service before becoming eligible for Parole.
