Four Charged In Warren County Investigation

AFTER A FOUR WEEK NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION FOUR ARE CHARGED IN WARREN COUNTY NEW JERSEY

     " Shawn Hopper, Aysha Aguilu, Jeffrey Denny, & Erica Butters Have All Been Charged With Multiple Counts Of Narcotics Distribution & Possession Offenses."

BELVIDERE, NJ.- On Monday, November 7, 2022, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer announced, following a Four Week Investigation into the Distribution of Methamphetamine in and around The Town of Belvidere, New Jersey has resulted in the Arrests of Shawn Hopper, 50, of Belvidere, Aysha Aguilu, 22, of Belvidere, Jeffrey Denny, 36, of Clinton, and Erica Butters, 46, of Morristown, all four have been Charged with Multiple Narcotics Offenses. 


     Following the investigation, a Court Authorized Search Warrant was Executed at the home of Mr. Hopper and Ms. Aguilu. During the Search Warrant Detectives recovered Methamphetamine, Xanax, Buprenorphine, Cocaine, and Mushrooms.


     Shawn Hopper has been Charged with One Count of Second Degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; Two Counts of Third Degree Distribution of Methamphetamine; and Six Counts of Third Degree Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.


     Aysha Aguilu has been Charged with One Count of Second Degree Possession with an Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; One Count of Third Degree Distribution of Methamphetamine; and Three Counts of Third Degree Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.


     Jeffrey Denny has been Charged with One Count of a Disorderly Persons Offense of Hindering Apprehension; and Three Counts of Third Degree Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.


     Erica Butters has been Charged with Two Counts of Third Degree Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.


     Mr. Hopper and Ms. Aguilu were both Charged on a Warrant Complaint and lodged in The Warren County Jail pending a Detention Hearing. Mr. Denny and Ms. Butters were released on a Summons Complaint pending future court appearances.
