Two Killed In Little Falls Crash

TWO TEENS KILLED IN LITTLE FALLS MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH

     " A Late Friday Night Accident On Route 23, Little Falls Township Claims The Lives Of 2 19-Year-Old Teens."

LITTLE FALLS, NJ.- On Saturday, August 20, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Chief Brian Prall of the Little Falls Police Department announced that on Friday, August 19, 2022, Members of The Little Falls Township Police Department responded to the intersection of Woodhull Road and Route 23 in the Township of Little Falls, on a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident involving two vehicles. 



     A Jeep Grand Cherokee, being operated by Jason Zaitoun, 18, of Wayne, New Jersey, struck a Mercedes C300, occupied by Five  People. 


     As a result of the collision, two passengers in the Mercedes succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased. Shahriyar Ahmed, 19, of Paterson, New Jersey was pronounced deceased at the scene, and Shakeel Ali, 19, of Paterson, New Jersey was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson where he was pronounced deceased. The remaining passengers in the Mercedes, as well as the driver, and Mr. Zaitoun were all transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of various injuries.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. More information may become available once released by authorities.
