HUDSON COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE THE FATAL SHOOTING OF A JERSEY CITY MAN

     " Authorities Are Investigating Tuesday Night Fatal Shooting Of A 49-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey Man On Kennedy Boulevard."

JERSEY, CITY, NJ.- On Wednesday, April 6, 2022 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are investigating the Shooting Death of a 49-Year-Old man on Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City.

     On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call on a report of Shots Fired in the area 1922 Kennedy Boulevard. 

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a male victim, later identified as Juan Rodriguez, 49, of Jersey City, New Jersey, having sustained multiple Gunshot Wounds to his Chest. Mr. Rodriguez was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:55 p.m. 

     The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

     The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating Rhe Shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
