AN EARLY FRIDAY MULTIPLE VEHICLE CRASH CLAIMS THE LIFE OF A NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP NEW JERSEY MAN

FREEHOLD, NJ.- On Friday, March 11, 2022 Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced Monmouth County Authorities are continuing to investigate a Multi Vehicle Crash that has claimed the Life of a Neptune Township, New Jersey man.
On Friday, March 11, 2022, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Members of The Howell Police Department responded to a report of a Motor Vehicle Crash to the intersection of Route 33 West and Colts Neck Road. Upon arrival, Police Officers located three vehicles that were involved in the crash.
The initial investigation determined that a Jackson Township man operating a 2004 F-150 Pickup Truck traveling Westbound on Route 33 crossed into the oncoming Eastbound Lanes of Route 33, sideswiping a 2004 Kia Rio operated by a woman. The Pickup Truck continued on Route 33 East, colliding with a 2010 Dodge Headon, operated by a Neptune Township man.
As a result of the second collision the Neptune Township man, succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. The pickup truck after striking the Challenger overturned and ejected the driver. The woman operating the Kia Rio was uninjured, all three vehicles had no passengers at the time of the collision.
The Crash remains under investigation by Members of The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Monmouth County SCART and The Howell Township Police Department.
