WEST NEW YORK, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Members of The West New York Police Department responded to the area of 6414 Dewey Avenue in West New York on a report of an injured male.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered an unresponsive male victim at that location with an apparent Stab Wound to his upper body.
The injured man, later identified as William Chipix Simon, age 25, of West New York, New Jersey had succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m. on February 6, 2022. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. No arrests have been made at this time.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from The West New York Police Department.
