PASSAIC COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE FATAL SHOOTING OF A PATERSON MAN

PATERSON, NJ.- On Wednesday, February 2, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at approximately 6:02 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 495 East 19th Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a Shooting.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a male victim, later identified as Mr. Juan Soto, 43, of Paterson, New Jersey lying on the Street in front 495 East 19th Street with an apparent Gunshot Wound. Mr. Soto was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
No Arrests have been made, the investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by authorities.
