PASSAIC COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING THE FATAL SHOOTING OF A CLIFTON MAN
" The Fatal Shooting Of Divan E. Tejeda In The Area Of 999 Market Street In Paterson Is Actively Being Investigated."

PATERSON, NJ.- Yesterday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at on Monday, February 21, 2022, at approximately 4:26 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 999 Market Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male victim, later identified as Divan E. Tejeda, 23, of Clifton, New Jersey, lying in the roadway with Multiple Gunshot Wounds.
Police Officers and Medical Personnel provided medical aid, and Mr. Tejeda was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by authorities.
