Arrest Made In Willingboro Homicide

TWO CHARGED IN THE FEBRUARY 11 2022 WILLINGBORO PIZZA SHOP FATAL SHOOTING

     " Knowah Crowderparham & Alexa Hess Have Been Arrested & Charged In Connection With The Shooting Death Of  19-Year-Old Adam Jason."

WILLINGBORO, NJ.- On Saturday, February 19, 2022, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Willingboro Township Police Department Acting Public Safety Director Captain Ian Bucs announced that a 21-year-old Beverly City man has been charged with the Fatal Shooting of a Teenager earlier this month in the parking lot of a Willingboro Shopping Center.



     Knowah Crowderparham, 21, of Beverly City, has been Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon;  Two Counts of Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons; Third Degree Endangering an Injured Victim; and Third Degree Conspiracy.


     Mr. Crowderparham was taken into Custody on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 on the Third Degree Charges and lodged in The Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, New Jersey. The Homicide and Weapons Charges were filed Saturday. A Detention Hearing will be scheduled in Burlington County State Superior Court The case will be prepared for presentation to a Grand Jury for possible Indictment.


     The investigation began on Friday, February 11, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., when Members of The Willingboro Township Police Department responded to The Kennedy Plaza in the 400 block of John F. Kennedy Way on a report of a Shooting. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found the body of Adam Janson, 19, in the Parking Lot in front of a Pizza Shop.


     The investigation determined that Mr. Janson, who was known to reside in the Burlington City, Burlington Township area, got into a vehicle with Mr. Crowderparham and Alexa Hess, 19, of Burlington City. An argument ensued and Mr. Crowderparham Shot Mr. Janson as he attempted to exit the vehicle. The investigation further determined that after the Shooting, Mr. Crowderparham and Ms. Hess, who was the Driver, went to a nearby residence and cleaned the vehicle.



     Ms. Hess has been Charged with Third Degree Endangering an Injured Victim; Third Degree Conspiracy; Third Degree Hindering; Fourth Degree Obstructing the Administration of Law; and Fourth Degree Tampering with Physical Evidence. Ms. Hess was taken into custody on Sunday, February 13, 2022 and lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility in Mays Landing, New Jersey pending a Detention Hearing in Burlington County State Superior Court. The Charges against Ms. Hess will also be presented to a Grand Jury for possible Indictment.
