PASSAIC COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE A LATE FRIDAY NIGHT FATAL SHOOTING THAT OCCURRED AT 285 VAN HOUTEN STREET

PATERSON, NJ.- On Saturday, February 5, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on Friday, February 4, 2022, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 285 Van Houten Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male victim lying in the roadway in front of that address with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived and the male victim had succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased on scene. The victim’s identification is pending further investigation.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information may become available once released by authorities.
