OAKLAND CALIFORNIA WOMAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH THE TRANSPORTATION OF NARCOTICS

CARLSTADT, NJ.- On Friday, February 18, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of an Oakland, California woman, Fernanda Young, 33, of Oakland, California has been Charged with Multiple Drug Offenses. The Arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Thursday, February 17, 2022, an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force determined that Ms. Young was involved in the transportation of Bulk Shipments of Marijuana through Bergen County, New Jersey.
During the investigation, Members of The Bergen County Narcotics Task Force Executed a Court Authorized Search on a U-Haul Rental Truck in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The search uncovered Individual Packages of Marijuana with a Total Weight of Two Hundred and Thirty Six Pounds, along with Crystal Methamphetamine and Fentanyl. Ms. Young was Arrested and taken into Custody at the scene of the search.
Ms. Young was Charged with First Degree Possession of Marijuana with The Intent to Distribute; Third Degree Possession of Methamphetamine; and Third Degree Possession of Fentanyl.
After being Processed on the Charges, Ms. Young was remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending her First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
