BROOKLYN NEW YORK AND NEWARK NEW JERSEY WOMEN CHARGED IN THE WEDNESDAY MORNING STABBING OF TWO

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ.- On Wednesday, January 5, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrests of Briana Bueso, 18, of Brooklyn, New York and Keyana Coates, 22, of Newark, New Jersey on Charges of Attempted Murder; Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Aggravated Assault; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
The Arrests are the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The North Arlington Police Department under the direction of Chief Scott Hedenberg.
On Wednesday, January 5, 2021 at approximately 7:39 a.m., Members of The North Arlington Police Department responded to a stabbing incident at 2 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a 43-Year-Old woman with a Stab Wound. The woman was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where she is being treated. During the altercation, a 20-Year-Old man was also Stabbed. The man was also immediately transported to Clara Maass Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
An investigation conducted by Detectives from The North Arlington Police Department and The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Ms. Bueso and Ms. Coates attacked the 43-Year-Old woman and Ms. Coates Stabbed the with with a Knife. During the altercation, Ms. Coates also Stabbed the 20-Year-Old man.
As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, both Ms. Bueso and Ms. Coates were each Arrested and Charged with One Count of First Degree Attempted Murder; One Count of First Degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Two Counts of Second Degree Aggravated Assault; One Count of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and One Count of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Ms. Bueso and Ms. Coates were each processed on the Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
