PLEASANTVILLE NEW JERSEY MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR THE 2019 FATAL SHOOTING OF A PLEASANTVILLE TEEN

     " Nahquil Lovest Of Pleasantville Has Been Sentenced To New Jersey State Prison For The July 25, 2019 Fatal Shooting Of 15-Year-Old Naimal Bell."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- On Monday, January 10, 2022 Acting Atlantic County Cary Shill announced that a Pleasantville, New Jersey man was Sentenced to State Prison on Thursday, January 6, 2022 for the Fatal July, 2019 Shooting of Naimal Bell, 15, of Pleasantville.



     Nahquil Lovest, 20, of Pleasantville was Sentenced an a Amended Charge of Aggravated Manslaughter to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with an Eighty Five Percent Term of Service before Parole Eligibility, pursuant to The No Early Release Act.


     Mr. Lovest was Arrested on July 26, 2019, in connection to the Murder of Mr. Bell, who was Shot and Killed inside a residence located at 102 South Massachusetts Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey shortly after 4:00 a.m., on July 25, 2019. An ensuing investigation was able to identify Mr. Lovest was the individual responsible for the Murder of Mr. Bell, a subsequent autopsy conducted by The Southern Regional Medical Examiner determined that the Cause of Death was the result of a Gunshot Wound to the Head and the Manner of Death to be that of Homicide.


     The Arrest, Conviction, and Prison Sentenced was the result of a cooperative investigation conducted by The Atlantic City Police Department and The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit with the assistance of Members of The Pleasantville Police Department.
