Newark New Jersey Man Charged

NEWARK MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOR THE NOVEMBER 28, 2021 KIDNAPPING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A PLAINFIELD WOMAN

     " Jafa McAllister Of Newark Charged & Two Unidentified Men Remain At Large In The Kidnapping & Rape Of A Plainfield, New Jersey Woman."

PLAINFIELD, NJ.- On Thursday, December 30, 2021 Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Acting Plainfield Police Director Captain David Guarino announced that on a Newark, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in connection with a Kidnapping and Sexual Assault that occurred in late November of 2021.


     Jafa McAllister, 33, of Newark, New Jersey has been Charged with Four Counts of First Degree Kidnapping; Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Three Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Four Counts of Third Degree Terroristic Threats; One Count each of First Degree Robbery; Second Degree Burglary; and Third Degree Criminal Sexual Contact; and Three Counts of Third and Fourth Degree Weapons Related Offenses.



     On Sunday, November 28, 2021, Members of The Plainfield Police Department were notified that a Kidnapping and Sexual Assault had occurred on The 300 Block of Liberty Street in Plainfield, New Jersey.


     An investigation launched by The Union County Special Victims Unit in conjunction with Detectives with The Plainfield Police Department revealed in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 28, 2021, a woman was awoken by Three Intruders in her home, who were Armed and Demanding Money.


     The investigation further revealed, Mr. McAllister and Two Unidentified men held the woman and her Three Children Captive in their home. During the Attack the woman was Sexually Assaulted. The Three Intruders then forced the victims into their own vehicle and drove them to Newark, where they were held for several hours, before escaping after the Assailants left the vehicle.


     The exhausted investigation, assisted by The Union County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit and The New Jersey State Police, resulted with Mr. McAllister being identified and Arrested on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Mr. McAllister was processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Essex County Correctional Facility pending a First Appearance and Potential Detention Hearing in Union County Superior Court in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
