Man Charged In Fatal Crash

NORTHFIELD NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED WITH LEAVING THE SCENE OF A FATAL ACCIDENT AFTER STRIKING A PEDESTRIAN

     " Matthew Cademartori Has Been Charged With Second Degree Leaving The Scene Of A Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash In The Saturday, January 8, 2022 Death Of Talmadge Franklin."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- On Wednesday, January 12, 2022 Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced a Northfield man with Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident after an investigation determined he Struck and Killed a Pedestrian early Saturday morning, January 8, 2022, in Absecon, New Jersey.


     A joint investigation conducted by The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Crash Investigation Unit and The Absecon Police Department determined on Saturday, January 8, 2022, Matthew Cademartori, 25, of Northfield was traveling Eastbound in the early morning hours on The White Horse Pike when he Struck Talmadge Franklin, 67, of Absecon, New Jersey who was walking Eastbound. After Striking Mr. Franklin, Mr. Cademartori Fled the Scene of the Crash, the investigation determined.



     Mr. Cademartori was Arrested at his home on Monday, January 10, 2022 and Charged with Second Degree Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash. Mr. Cademartori where he was processed on the Charge and remanded to The Atlantic County Justice Facility where he was lodged pending a First Appearance and Detention Hearing in Atlantic County State Superior Court.
