CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, January 7, 2022 Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced that Detectives have made an Arrest in connection to the November 28, 2022 Homicide in Camden, New Jersey.
On Friday, January 7, 2021 The United States Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Lesure Funari, 23, of Burlington City, New Jersey at a residence in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Funari has been Charged with First Degree Murder and Weapons related offenses in the Fatal Shooting of 29-Year-Old Takwall Bailey of Camden.
On November 28, 2021, Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to the area of The 1000 Block of Lois Street in Camden on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers located Mr. Bailey suffering from a Gunshot Wound. Mr. Bailey was immediately transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 10:57 p.m. on November 28, 2021.
Mr. Funari was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Camden County Correctional Facility pending a First Appearance and Detention Hearing in Camden County Superior Court.
