JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Friday, November 19, 2021 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that the Female Pedestrian who was Struck in a Hit-and-Run Collision on Wednesday night in Jersey City has died.
Judith Baller Fabian, 83, of Jersey City was struck while crossing John F. Kennedy Boulevard. She was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The cause and manner of death is under investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of John F. Kennedy Boulevard near Harrison Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey on reports of a Pedestrian Struck by a Motor Vehicle with Serious Injuries. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a female victim with serious bodily injuries. The driver who struck the woman fled the scene in a Red or Maroon Sedan.
The events surrounding the crash remain under investigation by The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit with assistance from The Jersey City Police Department. No charges have been filed at this time.
