JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Saturday, November 20, 2021 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man found deceased yesterday afternoon on Westside Avenue is continuing.
On Friday, November 19, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Oxford and West Side Avenues in Jersey City, New Jersey, on a report of an injured male. Upon arrival, Police Officers found an Unidentified Injured Male Victim at 562 West Side Avenue.
The victim succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 6:10 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and his identity is unknown at this time.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from The Jersey City Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
