ROCHELLE PARK NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT IN CONNECTION TO THE ASSAULT ON A MAN

FAIRLAWN, NJ.- On Friday, November 26, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Mohammad Ramadan of Rochelle Park, New Jersey on Attempted Murder; Aggravated Assault; and Unlawful Weapons Possession Charges.
The Arrest is the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels.
On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at approximately 2:44 p.m., Members of The Fair Lawn Police Department responded to a report of a 79-Year-Old injured male located at 0-99 Plaza Road in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, where he was treated for head injuries.
An investigation conducted by Detectives from The Fair Lawn Police Department and The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit revealed that Mr, Ramadan Attempted to Kill the victim with a Wooden Baton.
On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, Mr. Ramadan was Arrested and Charged with One Count of First Degree Attempted Murder; One Count of Second Degree Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury; One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon; One Count of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and One Count of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Mr. Ramadan was processed on the offenses and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
