EARLY MONDAY EVENING SHOOTING LEAVES A 20-YEAR-OLD PATERSON NEW JERSEY MAN INJURED

PATERSON, NJ.- On Monday, November 1, 2021 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on Monday, November 1, 2021, at approximately 6:09 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of North 9th Street and Belmont Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene but no victim was found.
A short time later, Members of The Paterson Police Department were notified that a 20-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Wayne, New Jersey by way of private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was subsequently transferred to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
