UNION COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE CONTINUING THEIR INVESTIGATION INTO THE EARLY THURSDAY MORNING FATAL SHOOTING IN UNION NEW JERSEY

UNION TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Thursday, November 4, 2021 Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Union Township Police Chief announced that the circumstances surrounding a Fatal Shooting that took place early Thursday morning is actively being investigated.
On Thursday, November 4, 2021, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Members of The Union Township Police Department responded to the area of the 1200 Block of Coolidge Avenue in the Township on a report of a Shooting.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim, later identified as Isaiah Spicer, 24, of Union, New Jersey who had sustained a gunshot wound to his head. Mr. Spicer had succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The investigation is being led by The Union County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Union Township Police Department, Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit, and The Union County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit. At this time no Arrests have been made. There is no present threat to the community and no apparent Gang Involvement.
