UPDATE: Victims Identified In Trenton Double Homicide

VICTIMS IN FRIDAY MORNING OCTOBER 29 2021 DOUBLE HOMICIDE ON CLEVELAND AVENUE IN  TRENTON NEW JERSEY IDENTIFIED

TRENTON, NJ.- On Saturday, October 30, 2021 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced, the two victims in yesterday's Double Homicide on Cleveland Avenue, Trenton, New Jersey have positively identified.



     On Friday, October 29, 2021, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to the area of First Block of Cleveland Avenue in Trenton on a report of a multi round ShotSpotter activation.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found two victims, later identified as Edwin Obdilio Gomez-Interiano, 41, of Trenton, New Jersey and Everth Barrera, 56, of Ewing, New Jersey, both whom sustained multiple gunshot wounds.


     One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other victim was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced deceased, a shot time later.


    No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to Contact The Mercer County Homicide Task Force at (609) 989-6406.
