KEARNY, NJ.- On Tuesday, October 19, 2021 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a serious collision in Kearny, New Jersey, in which a 19-Year-Old Woman and a 20-Year-Old man sustained Life-Threatening Injuries early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at approximately 4:08 a.m., Members of The Kearny Police Department responded to the area of Route 7 and the Harrison Avenue split at approximately 4:08 a.m. on reports of a vehicle that crashed into a disabled tractor trailer. All four occupants of the car were transported to University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.
The 21-year-old driver, a Garfield, New Jersey man, and a second rear passenger, a 20-year-old male, are listed in stable condition.
According to the initial investigation, the driver, who was traveling west on Route 7 in a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer, collided with a tractor trailer that was disabled on the side of the road.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Kearny Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
