ESSEX COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE A SATURDAY OCTOBER 2, 2021 IRVINGTON HOMICIDE

     " Detectives Are Continuing Their Investigation Into The Saturday Afternoon Fatal Shooting Of Jarod Rogers Of Irvington, New Jersey."

IRVINGTON, NJ.- On Monday, October 4, 2021 Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced that The Irvington Police Department and The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Major Crimes Task Force are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Shooting of Jarod Rogers, 22, of Irvington, New Jersey.



     On Saturday, October 2, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Members of The Irvington Police Department responded to the area of Madison Avenue in Irvington on a report of a man lying on the sidewalk.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a the victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim, Mr. Rogers had succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
