A 45-YEAR-OLD FORT LEE NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 13

FORT LEE, NJ.- On Wednesday, October 27, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Yupang Ip of Fort Lee, New Jersey on Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment Charges.
The Arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Fort Lee Police Department under the direction of Chief Matthew Hintze.
On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted by The Fort Lee Police Department regarding the alleged Sexual Assault of a Child.
An investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and The Fort Lee Police Department determined that Mr. Ip Sexually Assaulted the Child, who was Younger than Thirteen Years Old, in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Based upon the results of the investigation, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, Mr. Ip was Arrested and Charged with One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact; and One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Sexual Conduct.
Mr. Ip was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
