UNION COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING A SUNDAY OCTOBER 10, 2021 FATAL STABBING IN ELIZABETH, NEW JERSEY

ELIZABETH, NJ.- On Monday, October 11, 2021 Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca and Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves announced that The Union County Homicide Task Force and The Elizabeth Police Department are continuing the investigation into a Fatal Elizabeth Stabbing.
On Sunday, October 10, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to the 300 Block Center Street in Elizabeth on a report of a man being Stabbed.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a male victim, later identified as Youatan Alexander Vasquez-Torres, 21, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, who had sustained a Fatal Stab Wound. Mr. Vasquez-Torres was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation into the Stabbing is being led by The Union County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Elizabeth Police Department and assisted by The Union County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit.
