CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, September 3, 2021 Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer announced that on Friday, after a Five Week Trial a Camden County, New Jersey Jury has returned a Guilty Verdict on against Dana Williams, 43, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, on all the Charges in The Indictment.
On Friday, September 3, 2021 The Jury convicted Mr. Williams of the following Charges: Ten Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Six Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Two Counts of Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault; and One Count of Third Degree Witness Tampering.
During the five week trial evidence was presented that Mr. Williams Sexually Assaulted a Child on repeated occasions between June, 2021 and November, 2017. Williams subsequently tampered with a witness by contacting the victim after his arrest in an attempt to have the victim recant the initial statement made to authorities.
Williams has been scheduled to be sentenced in State Superior Court on January 7, 2022, at which time Mr. Williams will face a Life Sentence pursuant to The Jessica Lunsford Act which increases the penalties for Sexually Offenses against Children, and protect future victims.
