PATERSON, NJ.- On Saturday, September 25, 2021 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on September 25, 2021, at approximately 4:43 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Presidential Boulevard and West Broadway in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and a 50-year-old male resident of Oak Forest, Illinois who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation, Police Officers determined that the victim was traveling in a motor vehicle on Presidential Boulevard approaching the traffic light at the intersection of Presidential Boulevard and West Broadway when multiple actors began shooting at unknown persons, with one of the bullets piercing the victim’s windshield and striking him.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available, once it is released by authorities.
