Lodi New Jersey Man Arrested

 260 GRAMS OF COCAINE AND ILLEGAL HANDGUN SEIZED DURING THE ARREST OF A LODI MAN BY HUDSON COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE

UNION CITY, NJ.- On Thursday, September 30, 2021 Hudson County Esther Suarez announced that on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, after a Three Week investigation, Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force Arrested a Bergen County man leading to the seizure of nearly 260 grams of cocaine and an illegal handgun.


     On Wednesday, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Detectives initiated an investigative stop of George Suarez, 36, of Lodi, New Jersey in the area of 29th Street and Summit Avenue in Union City, New Jersey. During the stop, Mr. Suarez was found to be in Possession of nearly 60 Grams of Cocaine. A subsequent search of Mr. Suarez’s residence in Lodi resulted in the seizure of approximately 200 additional Grams of Cocaine and a .380 Caliber Handgun.



     Mr. Suarez been Charged with Two Counts of Third Degree Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (Cocaine); Second Degree Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent to Distribute (Cocaine); First Degree Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent to Distribute (Cocaine); Second Degree Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent to Distribute (Cocaine) Within 500 Feet of Public Property; Three Counts of Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent to Distribute (Cocaine) Within 1,000 Feet of a School; Second Degree Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Narcotics Offense; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Fourth Degree Certain Persons Not to Possession a Weapon; and Third Degree Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance With Intent to Distribute (Marijuana).


     Hudson County Prosecutor Suarez credited The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, The Secaucus Police Department, The Secaucus Police Department K-9 Unit, and The Lodi Police Department, with the investigation and arrest.
