TRENTON, NJ.- On Tuesday, September 7, 2021 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a Monday evening Homicide in Trenton, New Jersey.
On Monday, September 6, 2021, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to the First block of Faircrest Avenue in Trenton on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered multiple shell casing at the scene along with two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. A victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center by way of private vehicle and pronounced deceased at 12:01 a.m. The victim has been identified as Shamiem Young, 26, of Trenton.
