FREEHOLD, NJ.- On Tuesday, September 28, 2021 Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Monmouth County, New Jersey returned an Indictment against a Freehold, New Jersey man for stealing approximately One Million Dollars from victims through Fraudulent Stock Purchases and Promissory Notes.
Anthony Giordano, 43, of Freehold was Indicted on Monday, and is now Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity; Second Degree Theft by Deception; and Second Degree Misconduct by a Corporate Official in connection with Thefts from Five Victims that took place between July 2015 and April 2018.
An investigation uncovered that Mr. Giordano obtained funds from the victims based on their understanding that they were buying shares in or loaning money to his various companies, including Nue Trition Weight Management, Nue Pens LV., Nue Pens FL., Nue Resources Financial, and Nue Resources Funding. Mr. Giordano made the victims believe, the companies were, or were going to be successful, but made no significant attempt to get them operational.
Despite numerous requests by the victims, for Mr. Giordano to provide financial documentation demonstrating the values of the companies, Giordano failed to do so, thereby hiding the fact that the businesses had little or no value. Instead of using the victims investments to fund his companies, Mr. Giordano used the funds to pay personal expenses such as travel, entertainment, gas, dry cleaning, a gym membership, restaurants, and monthly car payments. Resulting in the victims receiving no return on their investments.
If convicted, Mr. Giordano will face a Twenty Year State Prison Sentence on each of the First Degree Charges.
Anyone with additional information regarding this case or Mr. Giordano is urged to contact Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Detective William Kelliher at 800 533-7443.
