A FORT LEE NEW JERSEY MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH STRIKING A PEDESTRIAN ON ROUTE 17 IN LODI NEW JERSEY

LODI, NJ.- On Friday, September 24, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that Bryan Wood, 35, of Fort Lee, New Jersey, has been Charged with Strict Liability Vehicular Homicide. The charge is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton.
On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Members of The Lodi Police Department and The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office were notified that a motor vehicle had struck a person in the area of 240 Route 17 South in Lodi.
The victim, later identified as 38-year-old Marko Guberovic of Fair Lawn, New Jersey was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit, and the ensuing investigation revealed that a 2020 BMW M8 operated by Mr. Wood struck Mr. Guberovic, resulting in his death. Laboratory tests determined that Mr. Wood was intoxicated at the time his vehicle struck the victim.
On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, Bryan Wood was charged with One Count of Third Degree Strict Liability Vehicular Homicide.
