SPRINGFIELD GARDENS NEW YORK MAN CHARGED IN BERGEN COUNTY WITH CONSPIRING TO MOVE DISTURB AND DESECRATE A DECEASED BODY

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ.- On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Aquello Parker, 29, of Springfield Gardens, New York on Charges related to Disturbing, Moving and or Concealing Human Remains.
The arrest is the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and The Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Rella.
On Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:38 a.m., Members of The Ridgefield Park Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious large plastic container left in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road, Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Inside the plastic container, Police Officers discovered human remains. The victim was later identified as Nicole Flanagan, 44, of Corona, New York. An investigation revealed that Aquello Parker assisted in moving the human remains of Nicole Flanagan from New York to Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
On Thursday, August 19, 2021, Aquello Parker was Charged with One Count of Second Degree being an accomplice to Disturbing, Moving and or Concealing Human Remains; One Count of Second Degree being an accomplice to Desecrating, Damaging and or Destroying Human Remains; and One Count of Second Degree Conspiring with a co-defendant to Disturb, Move, Conceal and or Desecrate a Deceased Body.
On Sunday, August 22, 2021, Aquello Parker turned himself in to the New York Police Department, where he is being held pending extradition.
