BELVIDERE, NJ.- On Monday, August 30, 2021 Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer announced that on Friday, August 27, 2021, a Jury sitting in Warren County has returned a guilty verdict against Gilberto Morales on all Charges in the Indictment. The verdict was returned on Friday in Warren County State Superior Court and before The Honorable H. Matthew Curry, J.S.C.
Mr. Morales was convicted on the Charges of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. Mr. Gilberto Faces a maximum sentence of 45 Years in New Jersey State Prison with a term of service of 35 Years before Parole Eligibility. Sentencing has been tentatively scheduled for October 22, 2021.
These conviction stem from the defendant committing acts of sexual penetration and sexual contact, upon a child, when the child was twelve years old. These offenses occurred on April 25. 2021 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
