BREAKING: Morris County Authorities Seeking Public's Assistance

 MORRIS COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE SEEKING INFORMATION IN CONNECTION WITH MORRISTOWN NEW JERSEY HOMICIDE

     " Police Are Seeking Information In Connection With The Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Homicide That Occurred In A Parking Lot On Clyde Potts Drive In Morristown, New Jersey."

MORRISTOWN, NJ.- On Friday, August 20, 2021 Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, and Morristown Police Department Acting Chief Darnell Richardson are actively seeking information regarding a Wednesday, August 18, 2021 homicide occurring on Clyde Potts Drive, Morristown, New Jersey. 



     On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at approximately 1:03 a.m., Members of The Morristown Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call regarding a shooting on Clyde Potts Drive, Morristown New Jersey. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a deceased male in the parking lot near 28 Clyde Potts Drive, Morristown, New Jersey, who had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Following an autopsy, Morris County Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Di Wang, M.D. determined the manner of death to be homicide.  Police have not released the victim’s name and identity at this time. 


     Morris County Authorities have identified a person of interest. The investigation is active and ongoing. No further information was available at the time of reporting. 


     The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that numerous Law Enforcement Agencies have participated in this investigation, including Members of The Morristown Police Department, The Morris County Sheriff’s Office, The New Jersey State Police, Oklahoma State Police and The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
