UPDATE: Camden New Jersey Man Succumbs To His Injuries

53-YEAR-OLD CAMDEN CITY MAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES HE SUSTAINED IN TUESDAY JULY 6, 2021 ATTACK

     " Edward Dupont Of Camden City, New Jersey Succumbed To Injuries He Sustained In Tuesday Morning Attack In The Area Of 7th & Pine Streets In Camden, New Jersey."

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Tuesday, July 27, 2021 Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Metro Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced, an assault victim has succumbed to his injuries that were inflicted on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, morning attack.


     In an earlier report, at approximately 9:12 a.m., Members of The Camden County Metro Police Department responded to the area of 7th and Pine Streets in Camden, New Jersey for a report of an Aggravated Assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Edward Dupont, 53, of Camden, New Jersey, unconscious at the scene. 


     Witnesses reported to authorities, Mr. Dupont was struck in the head by an unknown man, causing Mr. Dupont to fall of his bicycle striking his head on the pavement. 


     Mr. Dupont was immediately transported to Cooper Hospital, where he was being treated, until he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, July 25, 2021.


     A subsequent autopsy on Mr. Dupont by The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be complications due to a head wound, an the manner of death to be homicide.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing, and there have been no arrests made at this time.
