A UNION CITY MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED ON ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULT OFFENSES IN BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

HACKENSACK, NJ.- On Tuesday July 6, 2021, Bergen County Prosecutor announced the arrest of Alejandro Morales, 49, of Union City, New Jersey on Sexual Assault Charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Darren DeWitt.
On Friday, June 29, 2021, The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit received information from The Hackensack Police Department regarding the Sexual Assault of a Child under the Age Sixteen by Morales. An investigation was initiated by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit, in conjunction with The Hackensack Police Department. During the investigation, it was revealed that Morales engaged in Sexual Conduct over a two year time frame while in Hackensack, New Jersey.
As a result of the investigation, on Friday, July 2, 2021, Alejandro Morales was charged by The Hackensack Police Department with One Count of Sexual Assault by Conduct, One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact.
Mr. Morales was remanded to The Bergen County Jail pend his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court, in Hackensack, New Jersey.
" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, Which States: The Charges Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
