HACKENSACK, NJ.- On Monday, July 12, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and The Hackensack Police Department are actively investigating a Shooting that occurred at 27 Newman Street in Hackensack, New Jersey on Sunday July 11, 2021.
At approximately Members of The Hackensack Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency call in which the caller reported shots being fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officer located a 28-Year-Old male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.
An investigation is being conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Darrin DeWitt. No other information was available at the time of reporting.
