DETECTIVES ARE INVESTIGATING DOUBLE SHOOTING IN CAMDEN COUNTY NEW JERSEY

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Friday, July 2, 2021, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden City Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced that Detectives are investigating the Friday morning Homicide of one man and the shooting of a second man.
Police responded to a multiple round ShotSpotter Activation in the area of the 1100 Block of Baring Street, at approximately 9:45 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2021. Upon arrival Officers located a victim, Darrell Lopez, 31, of Camden, New Jersey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Lopez was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced deceased.
A second victim, a 50-Year-Old male, arrived a short time later at an area hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
