Paterson New Jersey Man Arrested

PATERSON MAN ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF  AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

     " Noe Hernandez-Quintana Has Been Charged With Alleged Sexual Assault Of A Child In Passaic, New Jersey."

PASSAIC, NJ.- On Thursday, July 29, 2021 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced the arrest of Noe Hernandez-Quintana, 37 years old, from Paterson, New Jersey. Mr. Hernandez-Quintana was arrested on July 28, 2021 after an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.



     Mr. Hernandez-Quintana is charged with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact. 


     On June 7, 2021 the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office received information from the Division of Child Protection and Permanency that a fifteen-year-old child disclosed being sexually abused by Mr. Hernandez-Quintana when the child was fourteen and fifteen years old. Special Victims Unit detectives interviewed the victim and multiple witnesses. The investigation revealed that Mr. Hernandez-Quintana sexually abused the victim on multiple occasions at a residence in Passaic between 2019 and 2020.


     The sentencing exposure on first degree Aggravated Sexual Assault is Ten to Twenty years in New Jersey State Prison, with 85% Term of Service before Parole eligibility pursuant to the No Early Release Act; on Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child it is Five to Ten years in New Jersey State Prison; and on Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact it is Three to Five years in New Jersey State Prison. If convicted, Mr. Hernandez-Quintana is subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law registration requirements.


     Mr. Hernandez-Quintana is presently detained at the Passaic County Jail. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion for the pretrial detention of the defendant which will be heard before a Superior Court Judge on a date and time to be determined by the court.
