Paterson Man Sentence To Federal Prison

A PASSAIC COUNTY MAN HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON ON TUESDAY, JULY 13, 2021

     " Juan Carlos Morales Pedraza Has Been Sentenced To A Term Of 95 Months In Federal Prison For Coercion And Enticement Of A Minor."

NEWARK, NJ.- A Passaic County man was sentenced on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 to 95 Months in Federal Prison for Coercion and Enticement of A Minor and for Illegally Re-Entering The United States.


     Juan Carlos Morales Pedraza, 35, of Paterson, New Jersey, previously pled guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Stanley R. Chesler to a superseding accusation charging him with Coercion and Enticement of a Minor and for Illegally Re-Entering the U.S. after having previously been deported. Judge Chesler imposed the sentence on Tuesday via videoconference.



     On April 13, 2019, Morales Pedraza approached a 15-Year-Old victim in Passaic County. Two days later, after engaging in sexual intercourse with the victim, Morales Pedraza and the victim left New Jersey, with plans to travel to Illinois. Morales Pedraza admitted that he planed to engage in sexual conduct with the victim in Illinois. 


     Law Enforcement authorities arrested Morales Pedraza in Ohio before he could arrive in Illinois.


     Morales Pedraza admitted that he is a citizen of Mexico and that he Illegally Re-Entered The United States after having been deported once before.
