Pair Charged In Englewood Robbery

A TEANECK NEW JERSEY WOMAN AND A ENGLEWOOD NEW JERSEY MAN HAVE BEEN CHARGED IN EARLY MORNING ROBBERY

     " Monica Peters-Gore & Gary L. Williams Were Arrested & Charged In Connection With Convenience Store Robbery Occurring On July 15, 2021, In Englewood, New Jersey."

ENGLEWOOD, NJ. - On Friday, July 23, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of Monica Peters-Gore, 52, of Teaneck, New Jersey and Gary L. Williams, 38, of Englewood, New Jersey, on Charges of Robbery and Weapons Offenses. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Englewood Police Department.



     On Thursday, July 15, 2021, at approximately 3:50 a.m., a Robbery occurred at a Convenience Store located at 476 Grand Avenue in Englewood, New Jersey. Video surveillance revealed that two individuals entered the store, and one of the individuals forced the lone employee to the floor at knifepoint while the other individual removed several cartons of cigarettes. Both individuals then fled the store in an unknown direction.


     An investigation conducted by Bergen County authorities identified Monica Peters-Gore as one of the suspects. A few hours after the robbery Peters-Gore was taken into custody by Members of The Teaneck Police Department following a motor vehicle stop. Additionally, evidence tying Gary L. Williams to the robbery was discovered during the motor vehicle stop.



     On Wednesday, July 22, 2021, Detectives from The Englewood Police Department arrested Mr. Williams without incident.


     Both individuals have been charged with One Count of First Degree Robbery; One Count of Third Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and One Count of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.


     Both Peters-Gore and Williams have been remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending their first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.


" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, Which States: The Charges Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
