MORRISTOWN, NJ.- On Monday, July 12, 2021 Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood announced the hiring of Jennifer Virella as Assistant Prosecutor for The Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
Assistant Prosecutor Virella was officially sworn in on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at The Morris County Prosecutor's Office in Morristown, New Jersey.
Assistant Prosecutor Virella previously served as Assistant Corporation Counsel and Assistant Municipal Prosecutor for The City of Newark, Assistant Prosecutor for The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and Assistant Attorney for The Newark Housing Authority. Also during her career, she held the position as personal assistant to a State Senator, Judicial Law Clerk for The Superior Court of New Jersey Chancery Division, Family Part and research assistant, Judicial Intern and Summer Associate.
Assistant Prosecutor Virella holds a B.A from Fordham University and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law.
